🛠️ International Repair Day Workshop: Reducing E-Waste

Join us at Re Love It Wagga for a special, hands-on community workshop celebrating International Repair Day. This year, our absolute focus is on reducing electronic waste and giving your everyday electronics a second chance at life. The morning kicks off at 10:00 am sharp with an informative presentation by the Wagga City Council Waste Education Team, followed by live repair demonstrations from highly skilled community repair technicians from 11:30am.

After the demos, the floor opens to you! This is a collaborative teaching and learning environment led by a professional appliance repair specialist. You will work alongside our experts to troubleshoot, learn new skills, and safely attempt to bring your item back to life.

• Time: Starts at 10:00 am

• Where: Re Love It Wagga (located next to the Gregadoo Waste Management Centre)

• Cost: Free (Registration/RSVP required)

💻 What Can You Bring? Ticket holders are invited to bring along one item to try to repair on the day.

• Encouraged items: Computers, TVs, lamps, speakers, and other small corded household appliances.

• Not encouraged: White goods (large appliances), battery-powered items, and small petrol/diesel engines.

• Necessities: Water, Food/Snacks, Hat, Sunscreen and anything else you may need.

⚠️ Important Guidelines & Safety

• Triage System: Items will be assessed upon arrival based on the likelihood of a successful repair and the tools available on the day. Please note that repair is not guaranteed.

• Free Recycling: If your item cannot be fixed and you no longer wish to keep it, it will be eligible for free on-site e-waste recycling.

• Safety First: While every effort will be made to repair items to a high standard, Wagga City Council accepts no liability resulting from the subsequent use of second-hand or repaired appliances. Test and tagging must be completed before connecting your items to mains power at home.
