Event description

You're invited to our Charity Gala Dinner to raise awareness and much needed funds to create sustainable resources to deliver our program.

In 2022, Girl Guides Tasmania, Laurel House and Women's' Legal Service Tasmania embarked on a collaboration to deliver an innovative program of work that is designed to promote the safety of girls and women. This collaboration brings together three vital Tasmanian charities with a common purpose- gender equality and a life free from violence for all Tasmanian girls and women via education and empowerment. It's our goal to deliver this program- Consent & Respect across Tasmania to over 400 girls and their families in 2023 and more beyond.

Thanks to the generosity of My State Bank, Hydro Tasmania, and Devonport City Council, we’ve secured grant funding for service delivery of the program and the purpose of our #IWD2023 Gala events is to raise awareness and much needed funds to broaden the delivery of this program, to create sustainable resources, and to support the establishment of further programs.

A three course meal, drinks, live auction and more is provided.  We are so privileged to have Pilot Light Founder and Director Zoë Coyle as our MC for the evening. Zoe is an author, leadership facilitator, MC and communications training leader, with experience that spans over 20 years. She is globally regarded in both the corporate and private sectors for her work in creating transformational change; and is one of Asia Pacific’s leading facilitators of Dr Brené Brown’s Dare to Lead™ Programme. She was chosen as 1 of 400 people worldwide to be trained by Brené in Texas.

Thank you for your consideration and support.  See you there.  Be sure to dress to express!

Kat, Kathryn & Yvette
