International Women’s Day is a powerful occasion to champion gender equality and advocate for the full participation of women in all aspects of life—economically, politically, and socially. Join us for an inspiring International Women’s Day Dinner, where thought-provoking conversation meets meaningful connection.

Date: Thursday 6 March 2025
Time: 7.00pm - 11.00pm
Location: Studley Grounds, 121 Studley Park Road, Kew
Price: $95 including a banquet style two-course dinner with roaming desserts and a drink on arrival.
Dress code: Cocktail   

This special evening will feature a panel discussion with influential leaders who will share insights, spark dialogue, and celebrate the progress of women in our community. We are excited to announce the panellists:

Panellists


Hon Mary Wooldridge – CEO, Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA)
As CEO of the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA), Mary Wooldridge leads the Agency in driving gender equality in workplaces ensuring that women and men are equally represented, valued and rewarded. Mary brings to the role a wealth of experience from a distinguished career in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Mary served from 2006 to 2020 in the Victorian Parliament, including a term as Minister for Mental Health, Community Services and Women’s Affairs.

As Minister, Mary worked to implement the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010-2022 and was instrumental in establishing Our Watch, the national family violence prevention agency. Mary was the Minister responsible for signing Victoria up to the National Disability Insurance Scheme. She established the Victorian Commission for Children and Young People, including the nation’s first Aboriginal Commissioner, Parkville College – an award-winning Public School in Youth Justice Centres and Australia’s first Mental Health Complaints Commissioner and the Family Drug Treatment Court.

Prior to being elected to Parliament, Mary was the CEO of The Foundation for Young Australians and worked with McKinsey & Company and Consolidated Press Holdings. Mary also serves as a Director of Global Citizen (Australia) and Carey Baptist Grammar School.


Frances Goh, Head of Community & Growth
Committed to empowering women in business, entrepreneurship and leadership, Frances Goh is Co-Founder and Head of Community & Growth at One Roof. Frances oversaw One Roof's digital transformation in 2020 from bricks and mortar coworking to a fully digitised experience and has since onboarded over 1500 members across Australia and overseas. Frances is committed to elevating women in business and curates the One Roof member experience to ensure it is tailored to their unique needs. 

Frances is an innovation expert, startup coach and champion of women-led businesses. She is experienced in building businesses and startups, mentoring founders and is passionate about solving the problem of the gender gap in business and entrepreneurship. Frances Goh is the 2024 Ausmumpreneur Award Winner in the Building Online Communities category, recognised for her outstanding efforts in developing and expanding digital communities. She is also a 2024 finalist for the Asian-Australian Leadership Awards and a finalist for the Melbourne Asia Game Changer Awards 2024.

Angus McKay – Chair/CEO, Bapcor
Angus is CEO and Chair of Bapcor limited. Over the past two decades, Angus has held CEO and CFO positions in leading Australian and international organisations including 7-Eleven Australia, Skilled Engineering Ltd, Asciano Ltd, Fosters’ Group Ltd, New Zealand Milk Ltd and Diageo plc. He brings extensive strategy, governance and leadership experience to Carey’s Board. Angus is passionate about the development of our youth and contributing to their preparation for life outside of school. He believes in co-education and is committed to supporting diversity in all aspects of life. Angus and his wife, Tracey Mansfield, have had three children who have enjoyed the benefits of a Carey education.

Elise Elliott (Host) – Journalist, TV & Radio Presenter
Elise is a journalist & presenter across TV, radio, print & podcasting. She is one of the few women to specialise in motoring - traditionally a male dominated industry. She has just restored a ‘68 Mustang convertible and surfs in her spare time.
