Event description

The School of Nursing and Midwifery, Women’s Health stream in collaboration with THRI would like to invite you to morning tea — a face-face event on Friday, 8th March 10-11am to celebrate International Women’s Day. 

The campaign theme in 2024 is ‘inspire Inclusion’. When women are inspired to be included, there’s a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment.

We are privileged to have Professor Donna Hartz present her career journey that will no doubt inspire and motivate us.

Donna Hartz

About the speaker: Professor Donna Hartz has over 40 years’ experience as a midwife, nurse, educator, lecturer, manager and researcher. She is the Professor of Midwifery at Western Sydney University and Chair Of Midwifery at Western Sydney Local Health District. She is a descendent of the Kamilaroi people and currently lives on Darkinjung Country.

Her main research foci include caseload midwifery care, Birthing on Country, First Nations breastfeeding education, midwifery education and pathways, and smoking cessation in pregnancy.
