After a year of cancelled events and invitations that we never got to send out, we *finally* have the chance to host something special - and boy do we have some fun surprises in store!

Come join Victoria and the team as we celebrate the inaugural She’s on the Money International Women’s Day. Of course for us, everyday is about celebrating women but we wouldn’t miss the chance to bring together all of our favourite people (aka you) into one room to showcase some incredible speakers.

Join us on 10th of March at Doltone House, Hyde Park for:

Schedule

Here at She's on the Money, we want everyone to feel welcome at our events. As part of our commitment, we have chosen venue spaces that are fully accessible and will also have Auslan interpreters present at all events.

SPEAKERS

Manal al-Sharif
Manal al-Sharif has been listed as one of TIME Magazine's 100 most influential people, as one of Forbes Top 50 Women in Tech and by Newsweek as one of the 10 tech-revolutionaries in the world. She is a prominent voice advocating for women's rights and empowerment and was one of the first Saudi women to specialize in Information Security.

In 2011, al-Sharif co-founded and led the #Women2Drive movement, to challenge the ban on women driving in her home country of Saudi Arabia. She was arrested and imprisoned for "driving while female" and was released on the condition that she never drove again on Saudi lands and never to spoke about the experience or conduct any interviews. Ignoring these conditions Manal continued campaigning for #Women2Drive and #IAmMyOwnGuardian with the aim to end male guardianship in her country and in June of 2018 the Saudi government lifted the ban on women driving. As a result of her tireless activism, she was awarded the first Vaclav Havel Prize for Creative Dissent.  

Her memoir, ‘Daring to Drive: A Saudi Woman’s Awakening,’ is an intimate story of her life growing up in one of the most masculine societies in the world and an Amazon best seller.

Tracey Spicer
Tracey Spicer AM BBus (Comm) GAICD is a multiple Walkley Award-winning author, journalist and broadcaster who has anchored national programs for ABC TV and radio, Network Ten and Sky News.  

In 2019 she was named the NSW Premier’s Woman of the Year, accepted the Sydney Peace Prize alongside Tarana Burke for the Me Too movement, and won the national award for Excellence in Women’s Leadership through Women & Leadership Australia.  

In 2018, Tracey was chosen as one of the Australian Financial Review’s 100 Women of Influence, winning the Social Enterprise and Not-For-Profit category. She was also named Agenda Setter of the Year by the website Women’s Agenda. For her 30 years of media and charity work, Tracey has been awarded the Order of Australia. 

Her first book, The Good Girl Stripped Bare, became a bestseller within weeks of publication, while her TEDx Talk, The Lady Stripped Bare, has attracted more than six million views worldwide.
