Event description
Interviewing for a job does not come naturally to most people, so practice and preparation is key. In this workshop we’ll look at how to prepare for Australian job interviews and answer behavioural questions effectively. In this session, we’ll also look at the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) and how it can boost your performance in job interviews. Candy Jenkins, UTS Careers Consultant, will provide advice on:
- Common interview questions to be prepared for
- How to answer behavioural interview questions using the STAR method
- What happens after the interview including salary negotiation

A light afternoon tea will be provided for the in-person participants, available from about 2pm at the venue.

Candy Jenkins is the Postgrad Career Coach at UTS Careers. An HR professional with over 15 years' experience in talent and leadership development, Candy has worked in both the UK and Australia.
