Into the Sensuous
Event description
Into the Sensuous is a 5 week immersion into embodied connection and liberated movement. Through a blend of somatic movement practices and contemporary dance techniques we’ll journey together to feel more connected to our intuitive sensuous bodies and the wisdom she holds.
We’ll meet each Wednesday of June 6pm-7.30pm at for 90 mins of dancing from the inside out. Somatic movement practices will guide you into deep connection with your inner landscape, with space to listen & move freely from the wisdom of your body. And we’ll weave in contemporary dance elements to introduce new ways of moving, build dance foundations, and learn choreography to explore moving together as a larger body of women.
This course is about moving from the inside out, staying deeply connected to our body while building our capacity to be seen. Our focus is on embodying ourselves more intimately, learning new ways to move through dance technique, and creating spacious moments to feel what is coming through our bodies and expressing it freely within a safe container.

About Kirilly Dawn:
Kirilly is a Barkindji woman, dancer, embodiment practitioner and full spectrum doula. She has over 15 years training in dance including contemporary and ballet, and is a certified hatha and yin yoga teacher. Her love and dedication for movement practices has led her to studying somatic movement with Body-Mind Centering, and somatic expressive therapies (movement, art, story). She is fascinated by our capacity to feel and communicate with what is unseen - the inner landscape of the body, the subconscious mind, the felt senses and our innate intuition - and is passionate about guiding women into their bodies, to listen to their own inner knowings.
