Intro to SPFX: Cuts, Bruises, Bites and Bullet Holes

This workshop allows students to learn the basics of special effects makeup. Students will learn how to create simple effects such as a bruise, cut, gunshot wound and more. A much-loved workshop by all who participate.

Ages: 8-17 years

Alyssa is a fully qualified hair and makeup artist with versatile abilities. Ali has qualified with a Diploma of Screen and Media at the Academy of Makeup, and her versatility extends to bridal, formal, red carpet type makeup and fashion, to face and body painting, gory and fantastical special effects. Ali tends to be drawn to fantasy elements, body trauma special effects and theatrical/stage makeup as she finds there are endless ideas and ways to execute them. While studying at the Academy, Ali also had the privilege to do makeup for AFL performers, performing arts studios, AOM TV where she did an instructional video and even a Halloween model for the Prince Consort Hotel. Ali loves being inspired by others, strives to continuously improve her current skills, and be part of the ever growing arts industry.
