Intro to Buyers Groups (online)

Have you ever dreamt of buying a place together with others? Are you looking for an intentional community to come home to?

A "buyers group" is a small group of people who purchase property together. It's a way of creating a Cohousing community without facing a construction project.

At this information session, you'll learn how to make that a reality. We will outline the steps, including:

• defining a shared vision

• creating a community

• the stages of buying property as a group

• legal considerations

• financial considerations

• professional help: who to involve, when.

Sydney Cohousing is an incorporated association that promotes the creation of community-led housing projects all across Sydney. We know our current housing system is not working for the majority of people, or for our planet. We know there are better ways to live—and we can make them happen, together!

Before houses were investment assets, our ancestors lived in small clans and villages. We want to recreate aspects of village life in a modern setting, by creating housing that is affordable, sustainable, inclusive and accessible. The modern Cohousing movement began in Europe, and it has inspired people across the world to live better together.
