Intro to Investing - the Getting Started workshop

We've all been there - scrolling at 1am asking our phone "how to invest in NZ?"; leaving tabs open because we'll definitely come back to them, and even attending events or reading books that get you excited but leave you still wondering how to actually start investing?

This workshop is your opportunity to get in a room with a Financial Adviser and leave knowing exactly what your next steps are.

Elizabeth is highly qualified and experienced, but maybe more importantly, she is relatable.

Having been a nurse, a wife and a mum but also having been divorced, made redundant and changed careers, she knows a bit about making plans and seeing them go sideways!

There are plenty of obstacles that can get in the way of looking after our finances, and something like investing often gets delayed by positive milestones like buying a house and having a baby, or unexpected curve balls like losing a job.

Having said that, the best time to start investing was yesterday, so let's get some lovely women in the room, some snacks, some stories and some starting points to help you prioritise future you, who deserves to live a good life without financial stress!

This will be an interactive workshop where Elizabeth will take you through:

• The basic principles of investing,

• Pros and cons of different assets like property, shares or cash

• How Managed Funds work and why they're a key part of your financial plan, and of course

• Tips and Tricks to actually get you started

Ticket price includes a glass of bubbles on arrival and some snacks to keep our brains engaged.

This workshop is ideal for anyone who has thought about investing but not started, has dabbled in a Sharesies account but quickly felt lost, or only has KiwiSaver and isn't even 100% confident on that if they're honest!

No starting balance is too small and no question is too silly - this is where your journey begins!
