    Intro to Mapmaking for Tabletop Gaming

    Learn the basics of mapmaking for tabletop gaming in this beginner-friendly class. We'll cover everything from creating a world map to designing individual dungeons and cities. Participants will need to bring a laptop or tablet with a copy of DungeonDraft or similar mapmaking program installed.

    You'll cover topics such as:

    • Basic map design principles
    • Using assets and brushes
    • Creating different types of maps
    • Adding details and textures
    • Exporting your maps

    By the end of the class, you'll be able to create your own custom maps that will bring your tabletop games to life.

    Participants must bring their own laptop or tablet and have DungeonDraft or a similar program installed.

    HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS

    This class is available to take either:

    • In Person at our Shop at 547 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair, NJ 07042
    • Online Virtually on Zoom. 

    IN PERSON CLASS

    In Person Class session takes place at our shop located at 547 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair NJ. Participants must bring their own laptop or tablet and have DungeonDraft or a similar program installed. You can purchase a copy of DungeonDraft here: https://dungeondraft.net/

    VIRTUAL CLASS

    Virtual Classes take place online using Zoom. Participants will receive a link to participate live in the class.

    Participants Will Need to have DungeonDraft or a similar program installed.

    APPROPRIATE AGES FOR PARTICIPATION 

    This class is appropriate for Adults, Teens, and Children to participate in. Participants must be at least 12 years old or older and can work independently. If a participant needs a caretaker or parent to assist with the project the assisting person does not need a ticket. 

    CLASS PARTICIPATION

    This is a Live event. Participants must attend on the scheduled date and time of the class in order to partake. There is no recorded session available for replay. It is the Participant’s responsibility to contact us prior to the event if they are unable to attend for any reason. If we as the Organizers need to reschedule an event there is no rescheduling fee, and participants will be notified of any changes.

    CANCELATION & RESCHEDULING

    Participants are eligible for a refund if the request is submitted 7 days in advance of the class date. Participants who submit a request 6 days or less in advance are eligible for a 50% refund or an opportunity to apply credit to a future class. If participants cancel the day of the class or do not show up during the class time they are ineligible for a refund.

    If the Participant booked a Virtual Class with a DIY Kit they are eligible for a reschedule only.

    INTERNATIONAL VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION

    If you live outside of the United States there is an additional fee to ship DIY kits. Participants are responsible for any duty fees, customs fees, or any additional fees associated with receiving their DIY Kits. If a participant chooses to get a DIY Kit it is the participant’s responsibility to make sure their country can receive packages from the US.
