Introduction to Accessible Communications and Marketing
Vision Australia is presenting training for Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) providers. The session is free to all staff that offer CHSP.
Each session has availability for 30 attendees, please choose the date and time you wish to attend from the registration page. You will receive a link to the Zoom meeting prior to the webinar date.
Should you wish to take part in online training for Introduction to Accessible Communications and Marketing, you will require the following:
- Access to a desktop/laptop computer with a stable internet connection
- Working headphones/microphone/speakers
- Access to Zoom meetings
Learn about Accessible Communications concepts and how to consider and test for the key requirements of WCAG utilising a checklist provided with the course. This course will help attendees understand what accessibility is, include it in their projects and communications, and provide them with a practical checklist to utilise in their work.
Course Content
The Introduction to Accessible Communications 2-hour live training sessions provides participants with practical techniques for how to make communications and marketing more accessible. Topics covered include:
- practical advice on implementing accessible communication techniques for websites, emails, social media, and documents.
- writing alternative text for images to ensure access for people who are blind or have low vision.
- video captions, transcripts, sign language versions, audio description
- ensuring text and language are readable for all.
