Interested in owning bees?
Not sure where to start or if beekeeping is for you?
Our introduction to beekeeping day is designed for new beekeepers who are just starting out on their beekeeping journey or thinking about becoming a beekeeper.Â
We cover basic skills to give you the confidence to open and manage your own hive at home, what pest and diseases to look for when inspecting your hive and how to care for your hive year-round.Â
Location: Carinya Downs Permaculture Farm
266 Old North Rd, Lochinvar.
Training time is:Â 8.30am to 4pm.Â
Please arrive by 8.25am to sign in and be ready for 8.30am start.
Tea, coffee, morning tea and lunch is provided - We will have vegetarian or gluten free options available (please advise when booking)Â however if you have other specific dietary requirements you may wish to bring your own lunch.Â
As we are a working farm -Â Closed in shoes are essential.Â
If you have your own beekeeping suit you are welcome to bring that to wear, however, to maintain good bio-security measures, please ensure it is washed and clean before attending.Â
