Introduction to Biodynamics
Event description
Are you interested in learning more about creating a balance between the farm or garden and its environment, and improving the health of the soil, plants, animals, and people? If so, join us for this FREE full day workshop to uncover the practicalities of Biodynamics.Â
Biodynamics is an holistic, ecological, and ethical approach to farming, gardening, food and nutrition. In this workshop you will learn more about natural soil fertility, biodynamic preparations and their usage (including practical applications) and how this all connects to the Soil Food Web.Â
Hamish Mackay has been teaching biodynamics around Australia for the past 45 years as a cost effective way of producing high quality food and fibre at the same time empowering farmers and gardeners to become largely self-sufficient with their inputs. There is growing awareness of the connection between gut health and mental health in society – an important and much needed development - and Hamish is aware that the challenge of the agricultural community is to stay ahead of demand and be in a position to supply high quality food when the consumers decide they need it.
Hamish’s workshops are both intellectually stimulating and practical. At the completion you will have done all the basic biodynamic practices required to get started and will have samples to take home and apply.
Hamish has an unquenchable passion for biodynamics, nutrition, associative economics and working with people.
