Introduction to Carpentry Workshop Series (Saturdays Term 1 2025) by WomenzShed
Event description
INTRODUCTION TO CARPENTRY
with NIKKI
Throughout this workshop, you'll get hands-on experience with some essential carpentry tools and their uses including saws, drills and drivers, learning the right tool for each task. No more guesswork — just practical skills you can apply right away.  Starting with constructing a mock-up of a stud wall frame, so you understand how to tackle basic repairs and modifications with confidence, you'll then learn how to securely hang pictures and shelves as well as cut and fix timber mouldings. Â
We'll also cover hardware including hooks, handles and hinges (variety dependent on time) and, to extend your skills further, you'll finish by building a small outdoors planter box that you can take home.
No previous woodwork experience is needed.
