Description

Join Annie for a gentle introduction to the traditional art of tea ceremony, where tea becomes an invitation to slow down, reconnect and experience the present moment. In this session you’ll be guided through a simple, mindful tea practice - exploring the sensory experience and the quiet rituals that encourage presence and awareness. No previous experience is required, please bring a bolster or cushion for a comfortable seat. Everything else you need will be provided by the facilitator. Come as you are, slow down, and enjoy a moment of stillness with tea.

Parking is available at the end of Cobran Road. Walk down the gravel path past the letterboxes, continue around the bend to the left until you reach The Hut Of Happy Omen.

Session runs for 60 minutes. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early so we can all begin as a group in peace.

The tea we will be sharing is herbal and caffeine-free. If you cannot sit comfortably on the ground, chairs are provided and participants are advised to bring their own cushion or comfort.

Incense, palo santo and essential oils may be used. Please advise facilitator of any allergies or sensitivities prior to the session.

Annie has been a practising yogi for over 20 years, enjoying various styles that support different needs throughout her every day life. She first came to yoga in the peak of her training as a professional dancer, singer and actor. She found it not only helped improve and maintain her physical strength, breathing, flexibility and connection to body but also balanced her nervous system, mental health and deepened her relationship to self. In 2021 Annie completed 460 hours of Yoga Teacher Training with the International Yoga Teachers Association.

In 2022 she completed 50 hours of trauma informed Yin Yoga Teacher Training at Yogatime Bondi. Additionally she has obtained her Reiki Level 1 training with Wiebke Queisser.

Annie weaves her dance background and musicality into her teachings, inviting students the freedom to explore intuitively along the way. With respect to lineages and philosophies associated with traditional teachings of yoga, she likes to ensure her classes are accessible and transferable for all backgrounds and walks of life that come to the mat. Her primary initiative is inviting people to come back to themselves through creative and somatic practices.

You can enjoy Vinyasa, Hatha, Slow Flow, Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra, meditation and pranayama practices with Annie. In addition, she hosts women’s circles, day retreats, group ‘vocal expression sessions’ to encourage stronger connection to the voice, singing lessons and movement classes. These range from fun “groove & move” workshops accompanied by contemporary popular music to more intuitive body expression sessions which offer a more introspective practice.

Annie has also been a ‘holistic whole foods chef’ catering for small groups at yoga and breathwork retreats. She has a passion for health & wellness and is currently studying Functional Nutrition whilst balancing her career in the performing arts.
