    Event description

Social entrepreneurs are change agents that mobilise communities in the relentless pursuit of new opportunities to create and sustain social value.  They seek to address wicked problems like poverty, domestic and family violence, racism, and the chronic exclusion of some populations from mainstream economic participation and training.

Social enterprises are financial and governance engines of social value. They ensure greater social cohesion, resilient communities, inclusive economic growth, diversity, and inclusion. At Mill House Ventures, we specialise in equipping changemakers just like you to tie their measurable social change to a trading business model.

This introductory session is for anyone considering trading for social, cultural, economic, or environmental purposes. You may wish to use a for-profit or not-for-profit or cooperatives/collective business forms.

This session aims to help you explore whether social entrepreneurship is for you and to understand what support is available through the Mill House, the social innovation node of the Canberra Innovation Network. It is also an opportunity to meet and network with other passionate changemakers from our City and Region.

Cindy Mitchell is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
