Join Sam Cathcart from SJN Rural with guest speaker, local graphic artist Jess Verning from JMV Create for a FREE face to face workshop exploring the world of digital design. Gain valuable insights as you delve into:
- The fundamentals of graphic design – understanding the principles of typography, colour theory, shape and form
- Building a strong visual identity and how to create impactful visuals that represent your brand effectively
- Apply your newfound knowledge to create basic designs using the user-friendly Canva platform.
No prior experience required, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to level up their Canva game.
About Sam
Sam has spent her entire professional career managing and developing teams in the agriculture and rural industries. She is passionate about rural life and is a keen advocate for the regions. Following a successful career in the agricultural industry, and project management in workplace training for state and local governments, Sam decided it is time to branch out on her own and share her career learnings with business owners and managers. Her experiences in feedlotting, farm management and commodity trading and logistics has given her a unique leadership perspective and people management skills that she is passionate to share.
These days Sam finds herself offering consultancy services to businesses, governments and not-for-profit organisations, helping them with all things workforce development, communication and strategic planning. She prides herself on a reputation of delivering practical tools and resources for the participants in her workshops and training events wherever she goes.

We encourage potential participants to review eligibility requirements before registering. Eligibility requirements include:
- businesses with under 20 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) employees
- be a Queensland, Northern Territory or Western Australian-based business
- hold an active Australian Business Number (ABN)
