Event description

Are you feeling stuck? Your body knows the way forward. Listen to your body.
Join us for an experiential workshop on Focusing, an evidence-based somatic approach to self-understanding and healing. Led by Psychologist and Focusing-Oriented Therapist Isabel Alfonso, this session will help you listen to your body’s wisdom.

What is Focusing?
Focusing is the process of checking deep within yourself for a bodily felt sense of an issue and allowing it to unfold and reveal your next best step. Contacting the felt sense releases tension held in the body and brings relief, even when addressing painful topics.

Why attend?
• Learn a valuable skill that can help with self-awareness, reducing distress, and decision-making.
• If you're curious about somatic therapies, experience an evidence-based approach firsthand.

What to expect:
Learn about the research behind Focusing and its 6-step process
Participate in a guided activity to help clarify:
• What may be holding you back
• What could support you in moving forward
No need to share—this is an individual reflective exercise
Please bring a pen and paper
