Traversing the AI landscape in higher education
Description
Whether you're just getting started with AI or you've been experimenting for a while, this workshop will give you a practical, evidence-based foundation. You'll see current demonstrations of what AI can actually do, including multimodal outputs that go well beyond essays, hear what Australian students are telling us about how and why they use these tools, and work through a hands-on activity applying this knowledge to assessment design. You'll leave with a clearer picture of how to position your own teaching in the broader landscape, and concrete next steps you can take this semester.
This workshop is open to educators and teaching and learning staff from across the higher education sector.
