Introduction to Disc Golf (Maribyrnong Girls Can Week 2026)
Description
Discover golf in a fun, relaxed and accessible way with a pop-up 2–3 hole short course in one of Maribyrnong’s beautiful open spaces. Participants will learn the basics of golf, including rules, safety, putting and driving, before playing the course in small groups and taking part in a fun Closest to the Basket challenge.
Date: Monday 26 October 2026
Location: Cruickshank Park, Yarraville (Meet at the Tennis Courts by Day Street)
Time: 6.30pm - 8.00pm
Audience: Women and young girls
What to bring: Water bottle

Active Maribyrnong programs are provided free of charge to encourage the community to be active and participate in health and wellbeing activities. Participants acknowledge that participation is voluntary and at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring they are fit and able to participate safely. To the extent permitted by law, participants agree to release and indemnify the City of Maribyrnong and the program facilitator from any loss, damage, injury or claim arising from their participation in the program, except where caused by the negligence or unlawful conduct of Council or the facilitator.
