Introduction to Playwork Principles
Do you want to take Play to the next level in your service? The Playwork Principles provide the professional and ethical framework for educators and play workers to support each child's right to play as identified in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of the Child. They recognise that children and young people's capacity for positive development will be enhanced if given access to the broadest range of environments and play opportunities. "The right of the child to rest and leisure, to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child, and to participate freely in cultural life and the arts."
