OVERVIEW Tutor: Sally Picker Dates: Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July 2025 Time: 10am to 4pm both days Cost: $200 current NPW members. $220 non NPW members Enquiries: pickersally@gmail.com Venue: Newcastle Printmakers Workshop, 27 Popran Road, Adamstown This course requires a minimum of 4 participants to proceed. Learn the basics of screen printing onto paper using a 2 layered process. In this class you will learn how to coat screens with emulsion, then transfer your image onto a screen using a light exposure unit. This will be followed by the exciting process of printing the exposed image onto a background colour. Participants will take home an A4 paper image ready for framing. The class is suitable for beginners. Materials Students will need to bring lunch. Tea & coffee provided. Wear covered shoes, bring an apron and be prepared to enjoy a creative weekend. Covid Safety: Participants must checkin, wash or sanitise their hands immediately upon entering the workshop and maintain physical distancing whenever possible during class. If you have COVID-19 symptoms or have been directed to isolate, you must not attend class. ABOUT THE TUTORS Sally Picker: As a long time member of NPW and more recently NSP, Sally has been practicing, teaching & sharing her love of screen printing over many years while continuing to stretch the boundaries of this versatile print form.
