Introduction to Testing with Screen Readers
Vision Australia is presenting training for Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) providers. The session is free to all staff that offer CHSP.
Each session has availability for 30 attendees, please choose the date and time you wish to attend from the registration page. You will receive a link to the Zoom meeting prior to the webinar date.
Should you wish to take part in online training for Introduction to Testing with Screen Readers, you will require the following:
- Access to a desktop/laptop computer with a stable internet connection
- Working headphones/microphone/speakers
- Access to Zoom meetings
Learn how to test websites and content using a screen reader. This hands-on training course will help attendees understand the different screen readers and how to test their work with them.
Course Content
The Introduction to Screen Reader Testing 2-hour live training sessions provides participants with an introduction to screen readers and how to get started testing with them for accessibility purposes. Topics covered include:
- What is a screen reader and who uses them?
- Overview of the main screen readers on the market for desktop and mobile
- Basics of using the desktop screen reader NVDA for testing
- Basics of using the mobile screen reader VoiceOver for testing
