This workshop will unpack the purpose and content of the Te Kōrerorero resource and make direct connections to priority 4 of NELP: Ensure every learner/ākonga gains sound foundation skills, including language, literacy and numeracy).

Del will:

• Share key research about the importance of explicitly planning and delivering oral language pedagogies in an ECE context.
• Work through the importance of ‘serve and return’ and ‘descriptive commenting’ and share resources and practical strategies for kaiako.
