Introduction to the Assessment and Treatment of Problematic Pornography Use
Description
With pornography increasingly accessible and embedded in our online lives, mental health professionals are more likely to come across problematic pornography use in their clinical work and can benefit from knowing how to recognise it and respond effectively. Changing restrictions for pornography access may also be cause for individuals to seek help around their pornography use.
This training provides an introduction to the assessment and treatment of problematic pornography use (PPU), with a focus on understanding when pornography use may become problematic, identifying the factors that contribute to and maintain PPU, and delivering evidence-based interventions to support behaviour change.
The training is designed for professionals working in allied health and helping professions, including psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors, mental health nurses, and mental health social workers.
This is a live training which will be recorded. A link to the recording will be emailed to you post the event. It will be available to watch for 30 days.
