Event description

Please note: this event is run by the Small Business Development Corporation for small business owners in Western Australia only.

As a small business owner it is important to understand your obligations in regards to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS).

This session will help you understand these new laws and improve the way you manage safety and health within your business.

This topic covers:
  • Western Australia’s new WHS legislation;
  • How to implement safety practices within your business;
  • How to access and evaluate information on workplace health and safety;
  • Safety management systems;
  • Safety certification requirements;
  • How to conduct an internal safety review of your business.
      This session is for people:
      • Who wish to learn about WA's new WHS Legislation
      • Who are ready to launch a business or new product to market;
      • Who are business owners interested in keeping current with safety legislation and their obligations
