Portland Workshop: Investing in Rural Community Futures

Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) invites not-for-profit organisations, community groups and interested stakeholders in Portland* to attend a face-to-face workshop for the Investing in Rural Community Futures (IRCF) program.

*Representatives from smaller nearby townships that are connected to Portland through services and other means are welcome to attend.

• Date: Thursday 6th February 2025
  
• Location: Alexandra Park Pavillion (Park Street)
• Time: 9:00-1:00 pm
  • Arrive at 9am for tea and coffee
  • Workshop commencing at 9:15am until 1:00pm including lunch

The face-to-face workshop will:

• Explore where your community and NFP sector is at right now - the strengths and opportunities
• Provide an experience of the IRCF program and some of the key elements
• Introduce 'community mapping' (knowledge, assets, networks) and how it can guide potential IRCF activities
• Consider how the IRCF program could make an impact in your community.
