About Dr Lydia Canovas-Saiz: Senior Growth Advisor - Commercialisation and Investment, Smart Precinct NQ
Dr Lydia Canovas is an experienced Economist, has a Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, with her PhD specialising in innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment operations. Dr Canovas has spent the last 15 years starting and running businesses wile working with entrepreneurs and investors around Europe and Australia. Lydia is passionate about accelerators and startups. Lydia’s research specialised in measuring the performance of incubators, accelerators, their accelerated startups, and investment operations. Lydia’s research has been published in high impact research journals, including the Entrepreneurship & Regional Development International Journal. Lydia is now a reviewer for a number of research journals, including the European Journal of Management and Business Economics and the Technology Analysis & Strategic Management. Lydia is passionate about driving innovation and entrepreneurship throughout the region.
