In Our Own Image - October Trans Life Drawing

In Our Own Image is a transgender life drawing night run by and for Meanjin's trans community, hosted on the second Wednesday of every month by Jackson @rhedyn_jack (they/them) and Remy @bisexualrage (any pronouns).

RSVPs are FREE, LIMITED and REQUIRED. We use RSVPs to make sure we don't overcrowd the space, and your RSVP confirmation is also where you will find the venue address. All attendees are expected to RSVP via Humanitix even if you know the address, otherwise we can't guarantee there will be room for you. Models don't need to RSVP; they will be approached privately on a per-month basis.

THE EVENT
This event presents trans bodies for a trans audience. Nudity should be expected, as should body scars. Stated gender identities and pronouns will be respected or else. We have a zero tolerance policy for sexual harassment.

The event starts at 6.30 pm. To protect our models and our space, doors will close at 6.45 pm. You're not trapped outside forever, but you will have to knock to be let in.

We have communal paper and art supplies, but it's always better to bring your own. Any artform is welcome as long as you can take it home with you at the end of the night.

THE VENUE
This event is hosted at a private residence in West End. The space itself is accessible to mobility aids, but the driveway to access the space includes a steep decline. You may need help if you struggle with sloped terrain. Please err on the side of asking for help if there's any doubt. A HEPA air purifier is in use, as is air conditioning.

We recommend coming via bus where possible. Street parking is very hard to find.
