TYGAPAW (NY/JA)

https://soundcloud.com/tygapaw

Dion Mckenzie known as TYGAPAW, is a one-person army on a mission to highlight inclusivity and displacement through sound. Originally from Mandeville, Jamaica, and based in Brooklyn, New York, TYGAPAW is a polymathic artist injecting their Jamaican heritage into techno. Operating at the intersections of their musical and cultural roots, TYGAPAW infuses the raw energy of dancehall with their signature emotional club sound. The self-taught producer founded monthly club nights Shottas, No Badmind and Fake Accent, creating platforms and spaces for QTIPOC. Fake Accent also functions as TYGAPAW's own imprint, which aims to platform and centre black electronic music artists.

AQUENTA

Aquenta is a crip DJ living and playing in Eora. Her sound is a genre-bending mix of afro-diasporic vibes and other surprises thrown in for good measure. Aquenta always draws on her Afro-Caribbean heritage when crafting her sets, and then spices things up by adding her other favourite flavours. Expect dancehall, grime, global club, ballroom edits and everything in between. The result has been described perfectly by her bro as akin to a Warhead lolly: sometimes sweet, sometimes sour, intense and not easily forgotten.

AYEBATONYE

https://soundcloud.com/ayebatonyedjs/strawberry-fields-2022

Ayebatonye began DJing in 2011 after being drawn in by the allure of creating new sounds through mixing tracks together. In the last ten years she’s cultivated her own unique sound and is best known for her bold and eclectic sonic stylings. Not one to stick to any genre, Ayebatonye’s entrancing sets blend together an array of global electronic sounds rich with afro rhythms, deep percussive drum beats, house, techno, jersey club and more

 CRESCENDOLL

crescendoll is a Gamilaraay woman and DJ, known for flirting with everything from juke, jersey, footwork, hard drum, UK bass, garage and acid. She has swiftly become a staple of the east coast club scene since her start in FBi Radio’s Dance Class program in 2020 gracing the stages of Pitch Music & Arts 2022, Duke St Block Party and was invited by DJ Pgz to partake in Sub Club 8th Bday.
