Have you ever scrolled past a post because it looked obviously AI-generated?

Too much text, over-styled graphics, generic wording, or nothing that feels personal, thoughtful or worth stopping for.

For many of us, the reaction is immediate: if the business could not be bothered creating something meaningful, why should we be bothered reading it?

Is AI content giving you the ick? is an official October Business Month 2026 event exploring what happens when businesses use AI without enough human thought, judgement or authenticity.

We will look at the evolution of communication, from the printing press and typewriter through to the internet, social media and artificial intelligence, and consider what this latest shift means for the way businesses communicate.

This is not an anti-AI session. It is a practical conversation about using AI well.
