Sundowner: Is it a rat, or...?

Before you sound the alarm, are you sure that scurrying creature is a rat? Join us for CNCE’s next sundowner, “Is it a rat, or…?”, where local experts will shine a spotlight on some of our small native mammals and explain how to tell them apart from introduced rodents.

Through engaging presentations by expert speakers Jess Johnston (zoologist, Biologic Consulting) and Jo Kennedy (wildlife carer guru), you’ll learn the key features, behaviours and clues that can help identify what’s moving through your patch, as well as how best to look after our native fauna.

You might be surprised to discover that not every whiskered, furry visitor is a pest — some could be native species that play an important role in our ecosystems. Come along for an informative evening of wildlife detective work, networking and sundowner refreshments.
