Event description

What comes to mind when you think of ‘Power”? Throughout our life, whether personal, organisational or community, we bump into power in multiple ways, and it’s often difficult and unwelcome. Power can easily become a dirty word. But is it? Can we harness power in helpful constructive ways? A critical question for those of us in helping roles!

Join our special guests, ODA member Sabine Simmonds and Lily Cubrilo, to grow your understanding that power is an innate human dynamic and how it plays out in organisations. Come along and explore the barriers to the effective, ethical use of power, and how we might leverage our power for the greater good of ourselves, each other and the organisations we serve.
Please join us to be challenged and inspired during this hands-on session with two terrifically experienced practitioners.

Lily Cubrilo, Founder, KiWhole Consulting

Over a 25+ year journey of practice and study Lily has combined systems theory, new sciences insights, change best practice, adaptive organisation strategy with individual and group facilitation and has developed a robust framework that supports leaders and teams to create innovative and self-sustaining improvements in organisational effectiveness, profitability and growth.

Lily began her career as an Electrical Engineer, which gave her an understanding of the importance of precise thinking, effective systems design and refinement that is simple and appropriately emergent. In practice – realising that the systems alone were not adequate to delivering sustainable performance improvement she became fascinated by the question “How do you best create the conditions for effective and breakthrough change?” This question has led to an ongoing journey of learning, studying, applying, apprenticing and mastering that continues to build her repertoire of change strategies that are not only effective but for the people that work with her – life changing at both a professional and personal level.

Lily brings to clients an approach and a framework that helps them navigate today’s rapidly shifting landscape in a way that is relevant and helpful. She also helps companies in a range of industries to create the strategies, structures and skills needed to guide them through organisational change processes. Lily’s aim is always to empower the organisations and people, facilitate the learning of effective change strategies and leave the organisation more capable than before.

Lily has worked as a change facilitator, mentor, individual coach, systems designer and developer, trainer and facilitator.
