Isaac Gee Band and Jamie Lena, at the Hobart House Concert Collective

Part 5 of the Hobart House Concert Collective is on, and this month we have the much loved and ever reliable double bass maestro Isaac Gee get out from behind his tree and lead a band with his original songwriting. If you haven't seen Isaac play you probably haven't gone to a gig in Hobart in the last decade. But this will be different. Original material, full band and full throttle intricate heartfelt folk fingerpicking. 

In support slot is touring artist Jamie Lena from Adelaide. Jamie is no slouch herself, crafting searching, reflective, jazz inflected melodies, with a hint of something electronic, but never moving away from that human touch. We heard the first few bars before it was a resounding "YES."
