ISEULA is a powerhouse of soulful, warm vocals and raw emotion — a Melbourne/Naarm-based artist fronting an electrifying band that channels the spirit of Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder, the swagger of Anderson .Paak, and the soul-stirring depth of Amy Winehouse.

Blending soul, neo-soul, blues, and alternative R&B, ISEULA and her band are known for their infectious grooves, rich musicianship, and songs that cut straight to the heart. With over a decade of experience in the music scene — including national tours, award wins, and extensive radio play — ISEULA first made her mark as the commanding frontwoman of the acclaimed blues/funk outfit Blue Eyes Cry. Over the years, she has performed at numerous major festivals including Blues on Broadbeach, Gympie Muster, Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Blues at Bridgetown, Wangaratta Jazz, Echuca Winter Blues, and many more.

Now stepping into the spotlight under her own name, ISEULA is unveiling a new chapter of original music. Backed by an all-star band featuring Stella Anning (guitar/backing vocals), Charlie Rolfe (keys/synth), Richard Rose (bass), and Byron Goodwin (drums), this tight-knit group is taking stages and festivals by storm throughout the year.

Audiences are also treated to ISEULA’s celebrated NOLA Special — a high-energy tribute to New Orleans legends like Jon Cleary, Walter "Wolfman" Washington, and The Meters, delivered with authenticity and flair.

Rooted in the traditions of soul, blues, and jazz, ISEULA’s sound is both timeless and fresh. With a magnetic stage presence and a voice that’s equal parts grit and grace, she doesn’t just perform — she moves you.

The Old Church on the Hill is located on the corner of Harkness and Russell Streets, Quarry Hill, Bendigo.

The Singer/Songwriter Showcase events, staged at the Old Church by the Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival crew on a semi-regular basis, are an opportunity to enjoy a House Concert vibe in a public venue. The door charge is kept as low as possible to ensure accessibility to all. Under 12s free and, although drinks are available for sale, the focus is on THE MUSIC.
