The panel discussion aims to highlight Israeli occupational therapists' resilience and adaptiveness in times of crisis. We will learn about the invaluable contributions of OTs to community wellbeing in the aftermath of October 7th. Israel occupational therapists will give perspectives on:

  • OT resource mobilisation
  • new position papers related to emergency and disaster preparedness
  • trauma-informed support from an OT lens
  • maximizing independence for people with disabilities under fire
  • the experience of surviving the terror attack and healing using OT principles
  • changing client needs

  1. List at least 3 issues currently facing the Israeli OT community
  2. List at least 3 ways the Israeli OT landscape has changed post October 7
  3. List at least 3 ways diaspora OTs can assist Israeli OTs with the challenges noted

Certificate of completion will be provided to those who attend the entire session and complete a satisfaction survey and learning assessment.
