Event description

Hunter Homeless Connect's Bay of Fires Trek participants Janelle Kirk, Peta Winney-Baartz & Alister Dalton invite you to a special Gold Class screening of IT ENDS WITH US at Kotara on Thursday 29th August 2024.

Based on the global best-selling phenomenon by Colleen Hoover, IT ENDS WITH US is an empowering story that has taken the world by storm and now an unforgettable movie -- one of the most anticipated films of the year.

Join us on the red carpet with a glass of bubbles in support of Janelle and Peta's fundraising for local charity, Hunter Homeless Connect.

  • Arrival time: 6.00pm
  • Movie start time: 6.45pm

The first Colleen Hoover novel adapted for the big screen, IT ENDS WITH US tells the compelling story of Lily Bloom (Blake Lively), a woman who overcomes a traumatic childhood to embark on a new life in Boston and chase a lifelong dream of opening her own business. A chance meeting with charming neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid (Justin Baldoni) sparks an intense connection, but as the two fall deeply in love, Lily begins to see sides of Ryle that remind her of her parents’ relationship. When Lily’s first love, Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar), suddenly reenters her life, her relationship with Ryle is upended, and Lily realizes she must learn to rely on her own strength to make an impossible choice for her future.

Tickets include: Nibblies and a drink on arrival (bubbles/beer/wine/soft drink). A raffle will be held on the night!

All proceeds from the event will go to Hunter Homeless Connect Inc.

Hunter Homeless Connect is a volunteer, not-for-profit organisation, whose focus is primarily to connect people in need in the community, with essential resources and support. Their mission is to create an inclusive environment without judgement, and to facilitate a community response to homelessness.

Hunter Homeless Connect provides opportunities for people who are experiencing homelessness, severe housing stress, or those at risk of homelessness to access support services in a way that recognises their inherent dignity, reduces social isolation and encourages a sense of connection with their community. This connection is provided via their annual Hunter Homeless Connect Day event and the regular distribution of their Community Services Directory.
