The Joy of Sketchbooks: Seniors Workshop

In the 1950s, ill-health forced Merric Boyd to put down his pottery tools and pick up a Spirax sketchbook. During the last decade of his life Boyd developed a prolific sketching practice, filling . In this workshop each participant will receive their own Spirax sketchbook (still around after more than 85 years!) and an introductory tour to the exhibition, Bundanon: Fantastic Forms, which includes both Boyd’s ceramics and his expressionistic drawings. Under the guidance of members of the Wagga Wagga Art Society, we’ll sketch some of the 3D forms in the exhibition and perhaps even plant the seeds of a sketching practice!
