It's Alive!! presents: The Psychonauts by Morris McLennan
800 W Buena Ave
chicago, united states
Event description
It's Alive!! is a new works series featuring work by trans and nonbinary playwrights based in Chicago.
Please join us for a staged reading of The Psychonauts, a new play written by Morris McLennan and directed by Lincoln Harrison.
Michael and Devin hook up for a 10-day bender aboard a cruise ship. After sobering up and returning to port, they part ways, never to meet again.
Or so they think.
The Psychonauts is a funny, candid story about our relationships with substance use, our relationships with ourselves, and our relationships with each other.
Featuring Julian Weslander as Michael, Austin DeVine as Devin, and Ivy Sloane Harris as Sarah.
Doors are at 7:00 and the reading begins at 7:30, to be followed by an audience feedback session led by dramaturg Isabelle Chung.
Please note that Haymarket House and It's Alive!! are both committed to community health and safety. Face masks are required while inside the building.
