IT'S ALIVE!! the coolest new play workshop for Chicago-based trans/nonbinary playwrights is BACK! We're excited to bring you this staged reading of THE PSYCHONAUTS by Morris McLennan.
Straight-laced tax attorney Michael is going on a 10-day bender of sex and drugs with Devin, a charming twink from the apps. The two strangers take their exploration of pleasure on board a cruise ship and part ways when they return to shore, never to see each other again... or so they think. Their brief tryst turns into a larger exploration of our complicated relationships with intoxicating substances, other trans people, and ourselves.
The staged reading of this sexy, irreverent two-act is followed by an audience talkback with the author, director, and cast.
