Event description
The Victoria Park Centre for the Arts is partnering with Hillview Intercultural Community Centre to deliver a series of cultural sharing events for neighbours, residents and the community. Our July gathering is a family friendly event celebrating the richness of Italian culture. This event is presented by the Mr. Accordion Man and Etta D’elia and will include:
- Italian music - piano accordion & singing
- Short Italian dance lesson
- Cultural presentation
ABOUT: Mr. Accordion Man
Mr. Accordion Man brings a lively, engaging act with his dynamic accordion performances, blending humor, music, and interactive entertainment. Known for his ability to captivate audiences of all ages, he roves through crowds, playing familiar tunes, encouraging sing-alongs, and creating memorable moments with every performance. Whether at large festivals or intimate gatherings, Mr. Accordion Man’s charm and musical talent turn any event into a celebration, making him a favorite among festival-goers.
ABOUT: Etta D’Elia
Originally from Italy, Etta D’Elia is an accomplished jazz vocalist celebrated for her heartfelt interpretations and sophisticated style. Since relocating to Perth a decade ago, she has left a significant mark on the local scene. Her career highlights include singing live at the Vatican—twice—broadcast on RAI1 for audiences of millions, including performances for Pope John Paul II (2004) and Pope Benedict XVI (2005). In WA, Etta has performed in duos, trios, and quartets across iconic venues including The Crown, The Ellington Jazz Club, Jazz Fremantle, Duke of George, and Lyrics Underground. She’s also performed solo in Carmina Burana (Perth Concert Hall), and live on Channel 7's Telethon (2018). Her hit jazz show Buona Sera Signorina – Italian Music Meets Jazz was featured at Fringe 2023, 2024 and Adelaide Fringe 2024, and this year she premiered From Naples…With Love! to great success at FRINGEWORLD 2025.
