Hello and welcome! If you're reading this, you might be looking for respectful, supportive folk to share your sustainability journey. Well here we are!

Find your tribe with this six-week program to support people trying to live more sustainably. Sessions are designed for those who are new to sustainable living, and offer a chance for you to talk about what you’re currently doing, get info and tips on ramping up your efforts, and spend time with likeminded others to congratulate, collaborate, and commiserate. Our aim is to build a community of changemakers that feels supported, energised, and inspired to be more sustainable.

Each week we’ll share stories of our individual journeys and discuss ways we can help each other adopt and maintain more-sustainable behaviours. Through interactive group discussions, engaging activities, and valuable networking opportunities, you'll gain the knowledge, confidence, and inspiration to adopt and maintain lasting change. By the end of this program, you'll be equipped with actionable steps, a network of sustainability champions, and the confidence to make a real difference.

Topics include:

  • Week 1: Where are you in your sustainability journey and where do you want to go?
  • Week 2: How sustainable behaviour helps you, your community and the planet
  • Week 3: Think big! What are the problems and how can we solve them?
  • Week 4: What stops you from adopting and sticking to sustainable behaviours?
  • Week 5: A better way: Developing a plan for adopting and sticking to change
  • Week 6: Collaboration, networking, and building a community of change.

Who is it for?

This program is for anyone newly interested in tackling issues of sustainability, climate change, and community resilience. It’s especially for those looking for support, guidance, or collaboration on their journey to a more sustainable lifestyle.

About the REthink Nillumbik Project

The REthink Nillumbik Project is a series of fun, interactive workshops to create a more sustainable and liveable Nillumbik. Sessions include a range of activities to help local residents reimagine our collective approach to energy and waste.

REthink events are collaborative, hands-on, and can help people take small actions that can lead to serious, positive change. They include practical demonstrations, creative activities, and simple ideas for rethinking everyday choices and behaviours. We want you to leave each session feeling motivated and empowered to make change. By working together, we can create a more sustainable future for ourselves and generations to come!
