International Women in Maths Day at RMIT

Discipline of Mathematics at RMIT University will celebrate International Women in Maths Day on 13th May 2024. The main goal of this event is to support the community of Women and Gender Minorities in Math in Australia and to establish a network of Women in Maths and related groups. At RMIT, we present a balance of inclusion and gender-diversity with 50% of our staff being female. This celebration will host invited speakers and participants from other universities as well as mathematical association of Victoria and will recognize the valuable contributions of the female HDR researchers at RMIT.

Topics include:

• How I manage work-life balance
• How do I keep myself fit and active
• Women that inspire me
• Hobbies that support my research
• Challenges that I face on daily basis
• Academic Awards that I have won or certifications I've achieved
• Surviving the first year of my Ph.D.
