Event description

Antoine Jaja, the visionary creator of the Jack the Super Prawn brand, together with his dedicated team, proudly presents the world's first revolutionary environmental education initiative.  Jack serves as both an educator and mascot for environmental awareness, inspiring children to engage with and address critical issues such as water conservation, air quality, littering, plastic pollution, and other environmental challenges etc.  By blending education through fun learning with interactive engagement, Jack empowers young minds to become environmental stewards and discover innovative solutions to pollution for a sustainable future.  As part of this mission, we developed the Jack the Super Prawn 'Pollution Solution Students Conference Day,' an immersion design program specifically tailored for Australian primary schools with the potential for expansion into secondary education.

This pioneering initiative fosters collaboration and innovation among students through a series of creative and engaging activities.  It focuses on addressing one of the '11 Types of Pollution' outlined in the event's program run sheet, encouraging young minds to actively engage in environmental problem-solving.

The inaugural event, held on Tuesday, 14 May 2024, at a primary school in Western Sydney, was a tremendous success.  Students and teachers from Punchbowl Public School joined this impactful conference, actively participating in meaningful discussions and workshops.  We are honoured to lead this transformative initiative and are thrilled to announce our next event, scheduled for Tuesday, 13 May 2025.  Together, we aim to inspire and equip young minds to create a cleaner, more sustainable future for generations to come.  For clarity, 'JTSP' is the acronym for 'Jack the Super Prawn.'

Syllabus Connections

The series of adventure storybooks that feature the world’s first super prawn ocean hero, Jack the Super Prawn, shows strong alignment to the new Science and Technology K-6 (2024) and Human Society and its Environment (HSIE) K-6 (2024) syllabuses which have been released to schools and are due for implementation by 2027.

The series also aligns with the current Science and Technology K-6 syllabus (2019), which is being phased out.

There is also alignment to the Australian Curriculum V9.0 Science.

Note:  All NSW schools use the NSW Science and Technology K-6 syllabuses developed by NESA.  They have been developed to incorporate (and often extend upon) the Australian Curriculum.

Details for the Livestream Virtual Event via Zoom

The Jack the Super Prawn team will appoint a dedicated individual to ensure seamless coordination of the simultaneous connection between all participating schools at the designated times.

How It Works

Program Run Sheet:  When a school purchases a ticket, we will receive a notification.  The JTSP team will then email you the 'Program Run Sheet,' which includes the scheduled timeline of activities and event instructions.  If you have any questions or need further information, please email:  Enquiries@JackTheSuperPrawn.com

Livestream Virtual Event:  All participating schools will join the event virtually through a livestream conference at designated times, likely in the morning.  This will allow for real-time interaction among attendees.  In the afternoon, students will begin the main task of the event, selecting one type of pollution from the '11 Types of Pollution' list in the program run sheet to develop a solution.  The event Zoom link will be shared with all schools closer to the event date.  We encourage all schools to ensure they are prepared for the virtual event.  If you have any questions or need further information, please email:  Enquiries@JackTheSuperPrawn.com

This collaborative effort will not only enhance environmental awareness among students but also provide them with the tools to make a lasting, positive impact on planet Earth.
