jade//vision & Astral Weeks present Erica Tucceri

London-via-Naarm flautist, composer and improviser Erica Tucceri returns to Boorloo for a splendid afternoon gig at Astral Weeks, co-presented with jade//vision.

A starry contributor to Naarm's jazz crossover scene, Erica has gathered a cult following amongst the flute fanatics for her signature tonal control and explosive solos heard on records from the likes of Surprise Chef, Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange, Don Glori & Alexander Flood.

Join us at Astral Weeks for a transportive blend of percussive, flute-driven cosmic jazz, touched by dizzying psychedelia and a hint of dancefloor sensibility. This will be the last chance for WA audiences to catch Erica live for some time before London calls her name for the long haul!

Erica Tucceri will be joined by local jazz alumni Alex Reid (drums), Josiah Panbamanman (keys) and Zac Grafton (bass) of Grievous Bodily Calm, plus hear dreamy selections from delivery buoy.

Her debut full-length solo album ROUTE 96 is out on DeepMatter Records in November.

Astral Weeks is wheelchair accessible at street level, and has a gender-neutral accessible bathroom. The space is indoors, small and acoustically treated, it can feel a tad crowded at times. The live music will be acoustic and will have a wide range of dynamics (flute, drums, bass & keys), including loud sections & quieter moments. Lighting will be low and warm.
