    Event description

Join us for a casual Wednedsay Talk with South Australian designer Robyn Wood.

    ABOUT THE ARTIST

Robyn Wood is a South Australian designer, working in various disciplines including furniture design, painting, sculpture, installation and product.

Connection to nature in a contemporary context is important to her. Maintaining curiosity is vital. She hikes and explores landscapes foraging for ideas. She has a preference for warmer natural materials and organic forms. Objects and furniture are considered in the context of the space they will inhabit.

Robyn has worked as a creative for 35 years. She has a Bachelor of Design: Interior Design, from the University of South Australia. In 2014, she started her design studio, mostly making using wood. Since then her creative projects have included private and corporate furniture commissions, exhibition work, curating, workshops and making small products. In 2017 she moved into The Mill Adelaide. As a studio artist, she explored her art and pushed her concepts of the design process. She was selected as an ambassador for Brand SA for craft industries and was a long-serving board member at The Mill.
