Looking for a place where music, community, and friendship come together? Welcome to the CMC Music Jam – a.k.a The Jam Factory incl. Tea by the Sea! Every Friday morning, we gather at the stunning Currumbin Alley Beach for a joyful, family-friendly celebration of music and fellowship.
Whether you sing, strum, shake, or dance, even simply enjoying the atmosphere with a cuppa, you’ll find a home with us.
🎵 Our Weekly Schedule
9:30 – 10:30 AM | Group Jam Session
Everyone joins in as one big band! Bring your voice, your instrument (anything from guitars and keyboards to shakers, spoons, or maracas), or just your love for music. Sheet music, chords, and lyrics are provided so no one is left out.
10:30 – 11:00 AM | Morning Tea – “Tea by the Sea”
A highlight of the morning! Enjoy tea, coffee, biscuits, and cake served with love at our pop-up café. Everything is free, but we welcome contributions, especially homemade goodies to share. It’s the perfect moment to pause, connect, and refuel.
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Open Mic
A safe and supportive space for self-expression. Step up to share your song, spoken word, poetry, or instrumentals. Whether you’re performing for the first time or a seasoned player, this is your chance to shine and inspire others.
12:00 – 12:30 PM | Brunch or Lunch (Shared Break)
After the open-mic, we pause to relax, recharge, and enjoy a shared meal together. Bring along your brunch or lunch and join in: it’s a chance to connect over food and conversation before the ensemble rehearsal begins. For those rehearsing, it’s also a much-needed comfort break and a moment to refuel with a bite to eat and drink.
12:30 – 1:00 PM | Ensemble Rehearsal (New Addition!)
We’re forming a group of singers and instrumentalists to rehearse special songs together. This ensemble is regularly invited to perform at annual festivals and spontaneous community events: a chance to share our music beyond the beach!
