Event description

Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots Queensland presents a free screening of the documentary JANE.

"Drawing from over 100 hours of previously unseen archival footage, director Brett Morgen tells the story of JANE, a woman whose chimpanzee research revolutionized our understanding of the natural world. Set to a rich orchestral score from legendary composer Philip Glass, the film offers an intimate portrait of Jane Goodall— a trailblazer who became one of the world’s most admired conservationists."

Prior to the screening you'll have the chance to hear from local conservationists Jarrah Small (Plastic Free Noosa) and Spencer Hitchen (Save Sunrise Glossies) about their projects and stories. Both Jarrah and Spencer are past recipients of a Roots & Shoots Mini Grant from Jane Goodall Institute Australia and we're very proud to support their ongoing impactful work.

Attendees will be notified of the exact location within The University of the Sunshine Coast closer to the event.

Please contact the Queensland State Coordinator Daniel Reid (qld@janegoodall.org.au) if you have any questions about the event. If you would like to learn more about the Roots & Shoots Program, Mini Grants and Dr Jane please visit us at https://rootsandshoots.org.au/.
