January 2025 Clowning Workshops

Fresh off her studies at Ecole Philippe Gaulier, award-winning performer Elise Wilson (The Big Hoo Haa, All the Fraudulent Horse Girls) is running two workshops in Maylands Hall:

1. Intro to Clown: for performers with experience in theatre, improv or comedy who want to add clowning to their toolkit. We'll focus on play, finding joy, and audience sensitivity.

2. Embracing the Flop: for those with mild clown experience, focussing on vulnerability and finding the joy in failure.

Workshops are $39 with a flexible option limited to those with financial barriers. Please wear comfortable clothes to move in, and bring a water bottle.
